Howdo and welcome to my CASTMP3 write-up thing. I've decided to quit employing someone else to do this, and make it more user-friendly by scribbling it myself.
Salut! et bienvenue à ma description de ‘CASTMP3’. J'ai décidé de stopper employer quelqu'un d'autre pour faire ceci, et le rends plus facile à utiliser par écrire le moi-même.
So here we are. I write songs and tunes, usually based on life-experience or imagined experience, which I think is how most people do it. My musical and literary influences are many, and these affect my song and tune-writing. Most notably, I used to have a penchant for 60's and early 70's psychedelia and prog rock, but later-on I turned to almost any style of music and joined a punk band and a folk-rock outfit. These have fallen by the wayside and now I am back to being mostly myself, with the occasional foray into the world of Irish trad.
Donc, alors. J’écris les chansons et la musique, partout au sujet de vie vraie, ou les expériences imaginaires, dont est au façon des personnes plupart. J’ai beaucoup des influences musicale et littéraire, et mes compositions sont affectée par ceux choses. Le plus notamment, j'ai eu un penchement pour les années '60 et le debut des années '70 – le ‘psychedelia’ et le ‘prog-rock’ - mais par le temps je tournée à presque toutes styles de musique, ce qui m'a donné les droits de tenir un place en groupes ‘punk’ et ‘folk-rock’. Ceux-ci sont tombés par le bord de la route et maintenant je suis de nouveau à être la plupart du temps moi-même, avec l'incursion occasionnelle au monde du traditionnel irlandais.
Anyway, the world of Zonn was big in the late 80's - when (as 'Alias' John Riley) I left a rock/goth band for the beauty of 'Mike Oldfield-style' home recording - and then again in the late 90's and early 00's - when I decided that I really am obsessed with pushing rhyming words into 'plucked and strummed guitar' or 'any-genre' musical backdrops.
Alors, dans les années '80 en retard, le monde de ‘Zonn’ était grand – quand (dans le caractère de ‘Alias' John Riley) je partait d’une groupe ‘rock/goth’ pour la finesse de enregistrement chez moi au façon de ‘Mike Oldfield’ – et de l'autre côté vers la fin des années '90 et des années '00 tôt – quand je décidé que je suis vraiment hanté aux actions que finissent avec une melange creatif des contextes musicaux ‘guitare plumée et percussif’ ou de 'tout-genre'.
Since my first live solo spot in 1997, I have moved towards creating a new expanded Zonn discography and concert output - whilst in turn, travelling further and further away from rubbish employment...
Depuis mes solo-concerts debut, en 1997, j'ai roulée vers la creation d’une ‘Zonn’ discographie neuve et concert rendement – tandis qu'en même temps, je mis à plus loin distance, les emplois ‘McJob’…
2001 proved to be a boon in terms of songwriting and recording, with PHOTOCOPY OF MY MIND occupying the position of 'come-back' album for me. One track got played on Hospital Radio, Swindon.
L’annee 2001 se sont avérés être un avantage en termes de l’écrivant des chansons et l’enregistrement – le disque PHOTOCOPY OF MY MIND a occupée la position de billet ‘allez-retour’ pour moi. Le Radio de Hôpital Swindon jouée un chanson de la disque!
The next year, I had the cover for the 1988 album HARD FRUIT re-designed, and it is now available in CD format. Hear some tracks at Carbon Logic.

Coupled with an extensive tour of parts of south-east England, the feedback from this single gave me the vavavoom to record the 'acoustic singer/songwriter' long-player PORTFOLIO CAREER, which is available to purchase through the johnzonn.co.uk website and which gave me a Silver Artist Award at Radio Gets Wild online radio station.
Couplé à une excursion étendue des parties de sud-est Angleterre, la rétroaction de ce simple m'a donné le 'vavavoom!' pour enregistrer la PORTFOLIO CAREER de long-joueur 'de singer/parolier acoustique ', qui est disponible pour acheter par le site Web de 'johnzonn.co.uk' et qui m'a donné une récompense argentée d'artiste à la radio obtient la station par ‘Radio Gets Wild’.
Soon afterwards, I got a bit understimulated with the response I was getting and chose to steer towards a couple of enjoyable sabbatical years, which ended in renewed vigour and realistically-lowered expectations. I think it's better not to care too much about what you do, and care more about how you do it...blah, blah...
Bientôt après, j’ai devenir un peu ‘sous stimulé’ par le reponse que j’ai été recevoir, et donc j’ai choisi pour conduire deux années sabbatical agréables, ce qui fini dans la vigueur remplacée et les espérances réaliste-abaissées. Je crois qu'il vaut mieux de ne pas s'inquiéter trop de ce que vous faites, et pour s'inquiéter plutôt davantage de la façon dont vous le faites... etc., etc...
OK. So since then, I have appeared in the Wiki Music Guide (with exclusive interview and biog) and in Rock Circle online music magazine (now-obsolete) - where one of my toons reached No. 1 in the charts! I have also been stretching my performing legs, with appearances at Scaledown, Viva Viva and the Six Bells Folk n' Blues Club - amongst the many notable venues available...

Depuis lors, je suis apparu du ‘Wiki Music Guide’ (avec l'entrevue exclusif et le biog) et en magazine en ligne de musique de ‘Rock Circle’ (actuellement désuet) - où un de mes airs atteint le numéro 1 dans les diagrammes ! J'avais également étiré mes jambes d'exécution, avec des aspects aux 'Scaledown', 'Viva Viva' et ‘Six Bells Folk n’ Blues Club’ - parmi les nombreux rendez-vous notables disponibles...
Most importantly, I released the 3-song EP LOS GALGOS that broke previous records: by being played 3 times at the poshest restaurant in Monsanto, Portugal (where it was also heard on Rádio Clube de Monsanto) and through selling 3 copies during the summer 2007 London/Oxford weekend tour...it's been played at The Juggler café in Hoxton, London as well...
D'une manière primordiale, j'ai fait disponible le 3-chansons EP LOS GALGOS qui a cassé les disques précédents : en étant joué 3 fois au restaurant le plus bourgeois dans Monsanto, Portugal (où aussi on l'a entendu sur Rádio Clube de Monsanto) et en vendant 3 copies pendant l'excursion de week-end de l'été 2007 de London/Oxford...il également est joué au 'The Juggler' café à Hoxton, Londres...

December 2007 brought more good news when the classic tineolacide tune Night of the Moths achieved Song of the Day status at: BeatTheMix online music platform (again, now obsolete)...

And to cap it all, I was recently interviewed and recorded playing live for 'The Friday Show' at Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication at Chislehurst, in Kent...

But that's not all. This year (2008) I was invited to be a judge for the 1st Annual Native-E Music Awards (for upcoming Native American & Canadian Aboriginal artists) that took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Check the Native-E Music Awards website.
